On an amazing day for the town, Bury St Edmunds Rugby players made history by gaining promotion to the 4th tier of Rugby in England!
It is tempting to gush out superlatives to reflect on both the events of Saturday April 18th but also the season and the progress made over the last few years…
Amazing is probably best…It really was an amazing day! The town came and supported in huge numbers, guestimates suggested a crowd of 1500, never has The Haberden seen that sort of numbers for a League fixture, and they were treated to a spectacle as the players threw off the disappointment of last weeks heartache at Barnes to run in 11 tries!
