The Government have updated Permitted Development Rights

 

From the 25th May 2019 the permitted development rules will allow:

 

Class A permitted development for larger householder extensions is to be permanent and the deadline for completion of development is to be removed. This means that some large extensions to homes will continue to be permitted development.

 

A new Part 3, Class JA permitted development for change of use of A1, A2 or A5 to B1(a). This allows A1, A2, and A5 changes to offices subject to a prior approval application.

 

Part 3, Class M is extended to allow change of use of A5 to a dwelling house. Takeaways can change to houses, subject to a prior approval procedure.
